This is one of those advertising gimmicks that takes off and becomes incredibly popular. The California Raisins first appeared in a commercial in 1987, and by 1989 they had apparently made more money than the raisin farmers who commissioned them.

Coca-Cola is the king of advertising collecting. Few other niches can match the thousands of items on eBay at any one time.

This is a nice assortment of Coca-Cola memorabilia. There are signs, tins, figurines, trays, bottles, and heaps more. The starting bid is $1,500, and the Buy It Now price is $2,500.

Just when you think you have seen every Star Wars collectible…

This collection of four Star Wars Fernandes Guitars is very rare. Only 250 Darth Vader guitars, 250 Stormtrooper guitars, 75 Boba Fett guitars, and 65 Yoda guitars were ever made. Two Star Wars straps and eight custom knobs are also included.

These guitars cost $1,300 when new, so the $3,000 starting bid is great value.

These 93 keys with fobs were obtained from American hotels between the 1920’s and 1950’s. The seller has even listed the hotel and room number for each key.

The Buy It Now price is $2,200. I wonder if those hotels are still standing, and if the keys still work after half a century.
