One Million Sports Cards Collection

Huge sports card collections are nothing new on eBay, but I’ve never seen one million cards before! Even more amazing is that 800,000 of these are baseball cards, with the rest being football and other sports cards.

There are all sorts including rookie, vintage and premium cards. There are probably a few rare baseball cards too. The starting bid was only $100 which explains a lot of the bidding.

Garbage Pail Kids Collection

This is one of those auctions which makes you shout, “I remember that fad!”. Garbage Pail Kids were trading cards that parodied the cutesy Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. They got a lot of media scorn for their gross depictions, which only increased their popularity. Topps sold over 200 million packs before the fad died out.

This collection includes many series of mint condition wax packs. There is even a set of Trash Can Trolls included, all for a starting bid of $2,500.

Sports Cards and Memorabilia Collection

Incredible collection spanning decades of sports history from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods. All the signed pieces come with certificates and matching holograms, and all the graded cards are PSA graded.

The seller is confident of getting more than $30,000 but the starting bid is only $6,000, and there is no reserve. This will be interesting!

Magic: The Gathering Card Collection

Almost 45,000 Magic: The Gathering trading cards, plus a heap of accessories. The cards are “near mint”, with a starting bid of $3,250.00. The seller has estimated the collection to be worth between $13,900 and $25,801. That’s the problem with large collections, it’s almost impossible to put an total value on them.

Email the seller and you’ll get a spreadsheet detailing the entire collection. That in itself is amazing given how many cards are here.
