The Sega Mega Drive was released as the Sega Genesis in North America in 1989. It sold 25 million units worldwide, about half the number of Super Nintendos sold. Over 800 games have been released for the Genesis.

This collection has 705 unique games and 95 variations, all going for about $10,000. The lucky winner better have some extra shelf space, this lot needs five bookcases.

Collected over 30 years and including famous toy brands like Charlie McCarthy, Popeye, Ham and Sam, and Lil Abner. The seller will even mail you a catalogue and CD with photos of each toy.

The starting bid of $20,000 seems huge for just 246 toys, but I guess the seller knows their value. If you’re the lucky winner, better book a truck as this collection requires 15 large boxes.

I bet it’s going to be a sad day when that truck arrives.
